This was my first time reading Lynn Flewelling’s books and I was quickly drawn into the story. It is wonderful to see Alec’s growth and the glimpses of a relationship these two will have. It’s one of those books that I’m glad I read for the experience, but I don’t love it and it took me 6 days not reading at all for 1 day to finish which really pissed me off. I was obsessed with it though. There are some really, really intolerant folks writing reviews.

We get mention of various places and we follow our companions as they journey through some of these places too which makes it feel more realistic.
