So, anyway, I give this book three stars. Without her intelligence, I perdidso that she might have been stuck back in atrange forever. Or something I do not know. One of my favorite parts of this whole novel were the drawings on almost every page. Mar 09, Reading Vacation rated it it was amazing. She may look odd and a bit of rebellious, but you can tell with her character that she is a loving daughter.

For instance, I dmily much figured out the fact that Emily and OtherMe are all just a half of the old Emily and can’t be the REAL Emily if they don’t figure out a way of reversing the duplication. That’s why I can relate to Emily. I think there are also Emily the Strange graphic novels that came out before the regular novels. The 13th Hour Rob Reger. Want to Read saving….

Why everything was painted grey? A golem builder 5. The book started with Emily Strange going through a lot of quirky ideas for her invention, particulary her Time Machine. Still not sure really what the hell I just read but it was kind of interesting. You don’t get straight into the meat of it until a lot later in this book but eventually a lot of questions are answered and it gets really suspenseful.

It was narrated by Angela Goethals. I loved the added graphic novel-esque elements, including the little 15 page cat flip book, and found myself really engaged in Earwig figuring out the mystery of her amnesia. I really enjoyed the pictures in the book, but as I was reading, I was starting to wonder if I was supposed to know more about Emily as a character before reading these. Feb 23, Jamila rated it really liked it. Emily has never stayed in a proper school for more than 3 days so this year, she’s decided to try home-schooling with her mother and herself as her teachers.
There’s also the boy in the sewer, and the dangerous next door neighbor who has her own agenda. The fact that the book is unrealistic, which makes it interesting and entertaining 7. Emily remains one of my all-time favorite protagonists ever and I am dying to get to know more about Jakey!

Usually, books in a series tend to have at least a paragraph of summary from the other books to help new readers, and I didn’t find that in Dark Times.
Stranger and Stranger
I found the book to be extremely enjoyable and quite compelling. Not a big fan. Open Preview See a Problem? Yes, it’s a middle grade book, and yes, it’s absurd at times, but it’s fun and silly and really enjoyable. Although I found myself momentarily frustrated with the OtherMe situation, I have to admit, it certainly provided a sufficient amount starnge conflict to keep me wanting to see how the issue was resolved. Strange is the new normal for Emily and it looks great on her.
