And yet, the title still remains to me a mystery. Like many women, they talk about plastic surgery – nothing unusual there. I was pleasantly surprised by how sex positive the comic was. Persepolis was so good and Embroideries is no less.
I know that this image is far from the truth. But because we see all this through Marjane’s unaccepting eyes, the books speak to children even more powerfully than they do to adults, and satapi makes no sense becomes a mystery.
